We are excited to introduce rootPe!

It's been a year-long journey of brainstorming, doodling on whiteboards, and refining ideas into what is now becoming a robust product. rootPe is shaping up to be even stronger and better than we first imagined.

The idea for rootPe sprouted from a few critical questions:

Why do new digital business products take months to build?

Why is building trust with users a slow process for digital businesses?

Why does global scaling seem like a marathon for startups?

Upon exploring these questions, we identified common obstacles such as challenges in integrating with partners for payment, banking, KYC etc. long and tedious approval process from regulators if holding customer’s money as well as the daunting task of building a trustworthy brand where users feel confident enough to transact or allow the company to hold their money.

Businesses like marketplaces, fintech, and direct-to-consumer, the necessity to hold user funds is crucial for smooth transactions and an enhanced user experience. However, acquiring the necessary regulatory approvals and establishing trust with partners like banks or FI and with end users is far from simple. Different countries have varying regulations, which complicates and prolongs the process. In some cases, companies have tried to circumvent these regulations, which resulted in diminishing trust among customers, partners, and even regulators themselves.

This erosion of trust hinders innovation and growth, a cycle we at RootPe are determined to break.

We're creating a foundation for builders to focus on scaling and expand into new markets quickly, without the usual hassles of managing client funds and navigating complex regulatory landscapes.

Our solution? Think like a “super wallet” with robust information, data and money storage capabilities, within the regulatory framework, topped with a programmable payment rail that fits modern use cases. This powerful tool will enable developers and digital companies to build innovative solutions on top of it and scale their businesses effectively.
